THEME: Faithful Men

There is much confusion in the world today about what a man is supposed to be. Most of the definitions are based on mischaracterization and has been subject to popular redefinition. We will be looking in the Word of God to see what the Creator God has to say about His original design and what a man should be.

THANKSGIVING & PRAYER REQUESTS 

THANKSGIVING & PRAYER 

ABM/ABC We thank the Lord for our business meeting last week as we concluded the transfer of memberships, funds and assets to Ambassador Baptist Church in preparation for their organizing as an independent church. Please continue to pray that the Lord will help us through the coming weeks to effect a smooth handing over and transition. 

H1N1 VIRUS PRECAUTIONS 

All members and Sunday school teachers are reminded to ensure that both you and the children undergo temperature checks before coming to church each week. Those who are running a fever are advised to undergo voluntary quarantine as a precautionary measure. Please pray for our nation that the Lord will bring the spread of H1N1 infections under control.
All members are kindly requested to keep Pastor and the deacons informed the moment you return from an overseas trip and to impose self quarantine for 1 week in case you exhibit flu-like symptoms. 

THANKSGIVING, VBS 2009 

We thank the Lord for bringing us to a conclusion of our VBS. Please continue to pray for the Lord to work in the hearts of these children and their families. Pastor would like to thank everyone who laboured, contributed and help pray for this VBS. Special thanks for Bro. Conrad for leading the effort and to the entire VBS team for their hard work and labour in the Lord. 

CAMBODIA MISSION TRIP 

Please be in prayer for the team that has gone up to Cambodia this week. Pastor Jesse will be preaching twice this morning. The team will be ministering in villages from Monday through Wed. Please pray for good weather as well as journey mercies as there has been heavy rain recently. The team will be returning back on Saturday. Bro. Dan will be in charge during Pastor Jesse’s absence.

Please pray that the rental agreement will be signed and settled by this week so that we will be able to continue in our current premises unhindered.

THANKSGIVING & PRAYER REQUESTS

PRAY FOR ABM/C

We thank the Lord that approval has been granted to ABM for their organization as an independent society. We are now working towards organizing ABC as an independent church. Please continue to pray for the Lord to work all things out according to His good and perfect will.

THANKSGIVING, AGM

We thank the Lord for the conclusion of our Annual General meeting last week and for the installation of our new treasurer Sis. Geok Sang, our new director Bro. Roy Cheong and also for our incoming deacons: Bro. Darren Wong, Dan Ong and also Alex Ong. We would like to thank also Bro. Bernard Neo, Say Liang and Chai Joo for their faithful service over the past few years. May the Lord find us faithful in everything.

PRAY FOR RECOVERY

Sis. Nena has has tests conducted in Bangkok and will be returning to Bangkok this week to find out the results of the tests. Please pray for her as she will be travelling alone and for the results. Please also pray for the children as Rina is recovering from her bout of measles.

THANKSGIVING, RENTAL AGREEMENT

Praise the Lord that we have successfully concluded our rental negotiations with our landlord and will be signing the new rental agreement for the next 4 years. Please continue to pray that the Lord will continue to provide.

THEME: YE ARE WITNESSES!

Every New Testament Church and Christian has been given the task of being witnesses for Christ while we are on earth and are called to be faithful in the task of reaching the world until Christ returns. We will be surveying the scriptures to learn more about the greatest task before us, that is still Unfinished.

THANKSGIVING, SUMATRA FAMILY

We thank the Lord for granting a safe and fruitful journey from Singapore to Ranong, Thailand and for returning the Sumatra family back to Singapore safely. Please continue to pray for the Lord’s Will to be established. We want to thank the Sumatra family also for their sharing and exhortation at the Youth & Young Adults SG meeting on Friday.

CONDOLENCES, SIS WENDY

Mdm. Lim Yik Ying, mother of Sis. Wendy Wong departed peacefully late on the night of 18 May just before midnight. We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Sis. Wendy for the loss of her dearly beloved mother. She also like to thank the brethren for their support and prayers during this time, especially those who had spent time to be present to comfort her.

Please remember Sis. Wendy’s mother in prayer as she has been informed that the mother’s condition is deteriorating quickly. She is currently resting at home with Sis. Wendy taking care of her full time.

PRAY FOR JOURNEY MERCIES

We are grateful to the Lord for bringing Bro. Bong to Singapore in the past month. Please pray for him & his family, Pastor Sumatra & family and Pastor Mak as they journey from Singapore to Ranong, Thailand. The Magallanes family will be departing Singapore on 11 May (Monday) for Thailand together with Pastor Sumatra and Pastor Mak.
