We thank the Lord for bringing Bro. Bong and Bro. Jojo and their families safely to Singapore. Please continue to pray for their appropriate visas to be approved as the recent unrest and protests have resulted in the education ministry’s building being burned down.
MONTHLY THEME: “YE ARE WITNESSES!”
Every New Testament Church and Christian has been given the task of being witnesses for Christ while we are on earth and are called to be faithful in the task of reaching the world until Christ returns. We will be surveying the scriptures to learn more about the greatest task before us, that is still Unfinished.
CHURCH FAMILY MEETING
We will be having a church family meeting after the service. All members of MBC are kindly requested to be present as we want to be able to hear testimonies and have discussions in preparation for our business meeting next sunday.
MISSIONS SUPPORT PLEDGES EXERCISE
The mission support pledge forms are available at the missions display table. Please pray for the Lord’s leadership about your missions commitment. May the Lord lead us to an increased commitment this year that we may be able to take on more missionaries for support. The pledge exercise will end on by 3 May. Please return the pledge forms to Bro. Roy.
We are making available illustrated comic books that can be used as effective evangelism tools. They are available in English and Mandarin and are on the book display area and are priced at cost. Please speak with Bro. Roy or Darren if you would like purchase some. Please prayerfully use these to reach others with the gospel.
COLLECTION OF CLOTHING FOR MISSIONS
We will be collecting clothing to be brought to Thailand and Cambodia. Due to storage space limitations, we will be doing this in stages. For April, we will be collecting clothing to be sent to Thailand. In May, we’ll be collecting clothing in preparation for our Cambodia mission trip.
FAITH BIBLE INSTITUTE CLASSES
The FBI class now has two timings: Wed evenings (7pm) at Sis. Rosalyn’s home, and Saturday afternoons in church at 2pm (coordinator: Sis. Peng Peng).
24 APRIL, SHEPHERD GROUP MEETINGS
The Youth and Single Adults Shepherd Group will be meeting at Sis. Carol’s home in Yishun at 8pm on Friday.
25 APRIL, 12-3pm LADIES’ FELLOWSHIP
The ladies’ fellowship will begin with lunch at 12pm and then followed by a grooming workshop from 1-3pm. Please inform Sis. Janice if you would like to participate. Our guest on that day with be Mrs Magallanes.
25 APRIL, SOUL-WINNING & VISITATION
We will be having 2 teams (led by bros. Alex and Conrad) going out for tracting every Saturday. Please contact the respective team leaders if you are going during that time for coordinating instructions.
26 APRIL, NOTICE OF BUSINESS MEETING
All members are to kindly note that we will be having an important business meeting after the service. Please kindly inform Pastor Jesse if you will be away on that day.
26 APRIL, VBS MEETING
We will be holding our next VBS meeting/lunch right after the service. All VBS workers and those who wish to be involved are kindly requested to set aside the time to attend. We will be reviewing the lesson plans, theme and also to finalize all roles and responsibilities. Please contact Bro. Conrad or Ziyang if you would like to volunteer.
1 MAY, DINNER FELLOWSHIP
Bro. Dan and Sis. Suwei will be hosting a dinner fellowship at their home to celebrate baby Magdelena’s 1st month. Please let Bro. Dan know ASAP if you and your family are attending so that they can cater adequate food for all guests.
17 MAY, ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING & NOMINATIONS
We will be holding our AGM on the above date after the service. There will be a special service and no Sunday School for that day to facilitate our meeting and discussions.
In preparation for the AGM, we are seeking nominations for office holders as they are due for re-election or to replace outgoing office holders. Please contact Pastor Jesse by 3 May if you would like to nominate someone. We will be having the following up for nomination: Treasurer (1), Director (2), Deacon (4).
MISSION TRIP TO CAMBODIA
We are planning for a Mission Trip to visit the mission work established by Pastor Manning. The trip is scheduled for 13th to 20th June. Those who are interested please inform Bro. Chai Joo.
